Terms and Conditions

It is the customer’s responsibility to carefully read and understand the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you may not make a reservation with Scottish Golf Experience. By booking travel with Scottish Golf Experience, herewith referred to as the “Golf Tour Operator”, the customer agrees to adhere to and accept all terms and conditions.

IMPORTANT GOLF  PACKAGE INFORMATION

Hotel Reservations

Hotel bookings including room type or room class, amenities and bathroom/shower inclusions will be stated in your itinerary provided to you by Golf Tour Operator.  Hotel Reservations are not confirmed until the deposit payment is received.

Golf Tee Time Reservations

Golf course tee times, including the Old Course Tee times, may not be available for the dates requested. Final confirmed Golf course tee time reservations will be be stated in your itinerary provided to you by Golf Tour Operator.  Golf Tour Operator cannot guarantee the availability of the Old Course tee times.

Tours Reservations

Day trips, tours, excursions and activities included as part of golf packages are included in the price. Complete details will be stated in your itinerary provided to you by Golf Tour Operator.

Visa and Passport Information

Customers are responsible for appropriate visa and passports to the United Kingdom.

You are responsible for obtaining and paying for all visas and entry documents, for meeting all health and other requirements, and for any documents required by the laws, regulations, orders, and/or requirements of the countries you will visit. It is your responsibility to contact the Embassy of the country of your citizenship to determine the appropriate visa and passport requirements for travel to the United Kingdom. Golf Tour Operator is not responsible for providing you with specific visa and passport information or documentation and Golf Tour Operator cannot accept liability for any customer refused entry onto any transport or into any country due to failure of the customer to carry correct documentation. All customers traveling internationally are required to have a passport. Most countries require that the passport be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the conclusion of your trip. It is recommended you have a minimum of three blank pages in your passport when traveling, as many countries require blank pages. Multiple-entry visas are required for some vacations. It is your responsibility to verify all visa and passport requirements.

SEASONAL PRICING PRICING POLICY

Scottish Golf Experience produces three categories of seasonal packages namely high, shoulder and low which fall into the below dates:

High Season:                     17 Apr – 15 Oct

Shoulder Season:             1 – 16 Apr & 16 – 31 Oct

Low Season:                       1 Nov – 31 Mar

The season of each package will be shown on the package page and priced accordingly whereby the low and shoulder seasons come in at a reduced rate when compared with the high season.

PRICES

All package prices listed herein are per person and are based on twin occupancy unless otherwise noted. Prices are subject to change. Prices do not include airfare to and from your destination as outlined in your vacation package. PLEASE NOTE: All rates are shown in Great Britian Pounds (GBP). For example, 500 pounds is written as £500. These rates are based on exchange rates, tariffs and tax rates in and may be subject to change without notice.  Each individual golf package price includes charges for research, itinerary preparation and planning, currency transfer and booking procedures. In each case, the quoted price represents a complete package price and an itemization of individual component prices will not be rendered under any circumstances. Rates may not apply to Christmas, and New Year’s season. Supplements may be required for other holidays and may vary by destination.

DEPOSIT PAYMENTS & POLICY

A deposit of either £500 or 50% (whichever is the greater) of the price per person for the golf tour package is required to be recieved by Golf Tour Operator prior to the golf tour package is officially confirmed.

As the Golf Tour Operator is required to pay deposits for both hotel reservation confirmations and golf course tee time green fees, along with certain other payments, deposits made at the time of booking are non-refundable.

Full payment of the golf tour package is due at least 90 days before the commencement date of the golf tour.

Once the itinerary is approved and deposit paid, Golf Tour Operator is required to the make immediate payment to hotels and golf and tours to guarantee reservations. All amendments after this date are subject to availability and will incur an administration fee of £35. Additional charges may incur and will be discussed and agreed to by customers prior to any changes to the original itinerary.

FINAL PAYMENT

Full payment, including any relevant taxes and additional charges stated on the itinerary,  must be made 90 days prior to the start date of the golf package tour. We accept the following Credit Cards: American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover. Unless otherwise advised, the credit card selected will be charged for entire balance of the reservation. Purchaser’s credit card will be charged by Scottish Golf Experience and will appear as follows on credit card statement: “Scottish Golf Experience”.

TRANSFER OF BOOKINGS

Where you are prevented from proceeding with the golf tour package, you may transfer the golf tour package to another person (“transferee”) who satisfies all the conditions applicable to the Package, subject to you providing reasonable notice to us prior to the commencement of the package. Please note that tou and the transferee shall be jointly and severally liable to us for payment of the balance price and for any additional costs arising from such transfer. Booking transfer fees will be charges by Golf Tour Operator at £250 per person.

CANCELLATION POLICIES

Cancellation fees are as follows:

90 days or more prior to Start Date, full deposit.

90 days or less prior to Start Date, full price.

Notification of cancellation must be forwarded in writing to the Golf Tour Operator via email as soon as possible at bookings@scottishgolfexperience.com.

Cancellation fees will be charged to cover non-refundable charges incurred by The Golf Tour Operator in making your reservations, including administrative costs the total of which may run over your deposit amount

Should we book you a guaranteed Old Course tee time package through an authorised provider cancelations policies may differ

GOLF HANDICAP CERTIFICATE

All golfer must carry a current Handicap Certificate and a general Letter of Introduction from Your home club, unless waivered by prior arrangement with Us. Golf Play can be denied on failure to produce this to the starter at many British golf courses. Your itinerary will detail the Handicap limit applicable to you for play during your tour (based on the course with the lowest handicap requirement).

PARTICIPATION

For the benefit of everyone on your golf tour vacation, Golf Tour Operator reserves the right to accept or reject any vacation participant and to remove any participant whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interests of the other participants. We will not refund nor cover any cost or expenses you incur if we have to terminate your golf tour vacation arrangements due to your unacceptable behavior.

SPECIAL ASSISTANCE and HEALTH INFORMATION

At the time the reservation, you must report any disability requiring special attention while on your golf tour package  or health information that could impact your ability to participate in the rigours of playing golf over continuous days. Golf Tour Operator will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of all travelers, but is not responsible in the event it is unable to do so nor is it responsible for any denial of services by golf courses, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. The Americans with Disabilities Act is only applicable within the United States and facilities for disabled individuals are limited outside its borders. Most transportation services, including the touring motorcoaches, are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to a vacation participant for golfing walking, dining, getting on and off motorcoaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion must accompany travelers who need such assistance and must assume full responsibility for their well-being.

YOUNG TRAVELERS

Golfers who are less than 18 years old on the departure date must be accompanied by an adult and share an adult’s accommodations throughout the duration of the vacation. There are no young traveler discounts however we do accept children ages 8-17. We do not accept children less than 8 years old on Golf Tour Operator vacations nor do we accept child will be traveling with adults other than the parents. If the golf tour vacation is part of a school, golf club or authorized golfing body hosting competitive tournaments,  notarized letters be written by the organization officials,  parents or non-traveling parent granting authorization to travel, including the dates of travel must be provided. We suggest that you also contact the appropriate consulate and airlines because they may have additional requirements or recommendations.

SMOKING

Smoking is not allowed on transportation that is exclusively provided by Golf Tour Operator. Customers should check the smoking policies at individual hotels, golf courses, and other venues included in the golf tour packages.

ACCOMMODATION

The accommodations listed on the website are intended to be used on all departures; however, if a change becomes necessary for any reason, including additional departures on the same date, the accommodations substituted will be equivalent to those shown. All accommodations are arranged as stated herein. We reserve the right to substitute hotels, golf and sightseeing listed herein for similar product categories as conditions may require. Hotel rooms in the United Kingdom are typically smaller and less standardized than those in the United States and do not always offer air conditioning and other amenities. Please note that a “twin room” generally includes 2 twin beds placed side by side. Single rooms often only include one twin bed and are smaller than twin sized rooms. Please note that accommodation check-in times vary worldwide. It is standard hotel policy that hotel check-in is generally not possible before 2:00 p.m. local time.

PRIVATE BATH AND SINGLE ROOMS

In exceptional cases where private baths or single rooms reserved by us are not available, refunds will be made by the Tour Director or Local Host. Claims made in this respect cannot be accepted after the vacation is completed.

NON INCLUSIONS IN YOUR GOLF VACATION PRICE

Some fees which are not included in your vacation may be the following: Local City tax; passports; visas and vaccinations; tips to your Tour or Cruise Director, Local Host, driver, Local Guides, and/or ships’ crew; gratuities on ferries, trains, and cruise ships; laundry; telephone; minibar; alcohol, beverages, and food outside of the contracted Golf Tour Operator menu as presented at a hotel or restaurant (these extra items will be billed to you before leaving the hotel, ship, or restaurant); optional excursions; airport transfers on non-qualifying flights; porterage at airports and train stations; Travel Protection premiums; excess baggage fees; and all other items not specifically mentioned.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

Airport transfers can be added at time of bookings on qualifying flights and dates. Not all flights qualify. Customers not using the Tour Golf Tour Operator transfers will be solely responsible for arriving at port by time of departure.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

Special requests if confirmed are subject to availability. When making a purchase on the website, you expressly accept the possibility that the Golf Tour Operator may not satisfy such special requests. No purchase or reservation may be canceled based on the failure of an Golf Tour Operator to satisfy special requests.

WEBSITE ERRORS

Should web site and its travel offerings (including confirmations) contain errors, including errors in pricing or package inclusions, the Golf Tour Operator reserves the right to correct any such errors, without limitation. Confirmations issued are likewise subject to modification and/or correction at any time prior to actual travel. Under no circumstances shall the Golf Tour Operator, its affiliates, employees, or vendors be held liable for any damage, including consequential or incidental damage, resulting from such errors or the correction thereof.

SAFETY

Please be aware that during your participation in vacations operated by Golf Tour Operator, certain risks and dangers may arise beyond our control, including but not limited to: the hazards of golfing; travel by car, train, automobile, aircraft, or other means of transportation; the forces of nature; political unrest; acts of lawlessness or terrorism; and accident or illness in remote regions without means of rapid evacuation or medical facilities. Golf Tour Operator and its affiliates will not have liability regarding provision of medical care or the adequacy of any care that may be rendered. It is understood that Golf Tour Operator or it affiliate will use its best efforts to ensure that adequate measures are taken.

PHOTOGRAPHS AND PICTURES

Photographs or pictures appearing on the web site should be used solely as an indication of facilities and attractions. Actual facilities and attractions may vary according to itinerary. Maps shown are current at the time of printing and may not reflect the actual tour routing should the itinerary change.

GOVERNING LAW

These Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Scotland. Each party irrevocably agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts over any claim or matter arising under or in connection with these Conditions or the legal relationship established by these Conditions.
